Profilová (=školní) maturitní zkouška z cizího jazyka se skládá z písemné práce (=PP) o dvou úkolech a z ústní zkoušky (=UZ). Žák musí obstát u obou částí zkoušky. Obě části písemné práce dohromady dají nejvýše 30 bodů, které představují 40 % celkové známky. Ústní část je hodnocena max. 45 body (60 % celkové známky), maximum bodů celé profilové zkoušky je 75 bodů. Ústní zkouška trvá 15 minut, doba na přípravu 20 minut. Na pracovním listu jsou obrázky k popisu/porovnání, osnova k danému tématu a gramatické cvičení. U delší práce je max. počet bodů za jednotlivé kritérium 5, tedy celkově 20; u kratší práce je max. počet za kritérium 2,5, celkově 10. Za obě části PP tedy maturant může získat nejvýše 30 bodů.
